Trunks, or Torankusu as he is known in Japan, is a character who debuted in the Dragon Ball Z series. He first appears in chapter WM6182 of the series.
He is the son of Vegeta and Bulma, and exists in two primary timelines within the Dragon Ball multiverse: Future Trunks, from a ravaged future, and present-day Trunks, growing up in a more peaceful era.
Future Trunks travels to the past to warn the Z Fighters of the impending threat of the Androids, displaying a mature and serious demeanor forged from his traumatic experiences. The present-day Trunks is more lighthearted and mischievous.
